Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Salmon

Pat the salmon steaks dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Mince Garlic

Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves.

  3. 3

    Mix Marinade

In a small bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, and lemon juice. Mix well.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat.

  2. 5

    Cook the Salmon

Add the salmon steaks to the pan, skin-side down. Pour half of the marinade over the top. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy.

  3. 6

    Flip and Finish Cooking

Carefully flip the salmon steaks and pour the remaining marinade over them. Cook for another 4-5 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  4. 7

    Add Fresh Dill

In the last minute of cooking, sprinkle fresh dill over the salmon.

Serving

  1. 8

    Plate the Salmon

Remove the salmon from the skillet and place it on a serving plate.

  2. 9

    Garnish and Serve

Serve with lemon wedges and capers if desired.
