Method

Pulled Pork Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork

In a small bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Rub this mixture all over the pork shoulder, ensuring it is well-coated.

  2. 2

    Cook the Pork

Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Pour the apple cider vinegar over the pork, cover, and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.

  3. 3

    Shred the Pork

Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and place it on a cutting board. Use two forks to shred the pork into bite-sized pieces. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix in the BBQ sauce. Let it heat for an additional 30 minutes.

Sandwich Assembly

  1. 4

    Prepare the Buns

While the pork is heating, slice the brioche buns in half. Optionally, you can toast the buns on a skillet or grill until golden brown.

  2. 5

    Assemble the Sandwiches

On the bottom half of each brioche bun, scoop a generous portion of the pulled pork mixture. Top with coleslaw and place the top half of the bun over it.

  3. 6

    Serve

Serve the pulled pork sandwiches warm with additional BBQ sauce on the side if desired.
