Cooking the Prawns

Cook the Prawns
Once the water is boiling, add the raw prawns and cook for 2-3 minutes or until they turn pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook them.

Drain the Prawns
Once cooled, drain the prawns and pat them dry with a paper towel.
Making the Marie Rose Sauce

Combine the Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine 200g of mayonnaise, 50g of ketchup, 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and 5 drops of Tabasco sauce.

Season the Sauce
Mix well and taste the sauce. Add salt and black pepper to taste, adjusting the flavor as desired.
Assembling the Prawn Cocktail

Prepare the Serving Dish
On a serving plate or in individual cocktail glasses, layer the shredded iceberg lettuce as the base.

Add the Prawns
Arrange the cooled prawns on top of the lettuce.

Top with Sauce
Generously spoon the Marie Rose sauce over the prawns.

Garnish and Serve
Garnish with paprika, serve with lemon wedges on the side, and enjoy your classic prawn cocktail!
