Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, minced garlic cloves, brown sugar, black pepper, olive oil, and lemon juice. Stir until the brown sugar is dissolved.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Pork

Place the pork steaks in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the pork and ensure each piece is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat a grill or a stovetop pan over medium-high heat. If using a pan, add a little olive oil to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Cook the Pork Steaks

Remove the pork steaks from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off. Place them on the grill or in the pan. Cook for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) and the pork is nicely browned.

  3. 5

    Rest the Meat

Once cooked, remove the pork steaks from the heat and let them rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate and Garnish

Serve the pork steaks on a plate. Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon wedges for a burst of flavor.
