Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patties

In a bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently and form into 4 equal-sized patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover to melt.

Fries Preparation

  1. 4

    Prep the Potatoes

Peel and cut the potatoes into thin strips to make fries.

  2. 5

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the potato strips in batches and fry until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 6

    Season the Fries

Remove fries from oil and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt while still hot.

Assembly

  1. 7

    Assemble the Burgers

Slice the hamburger buns in half and place the cooked patties on the bottom half of each bun. Top with lettuce, sliced tomato, ketchup, and mustard to taste.

  2. 8

    Serve

Place the top half of the bun on the burger and serve with a side of crispy fries.
