DESSERT

1

Prepare Ice Cream Base

In a large mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.

2

Mix Ingredients

Whisk the mixture until all the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is smooth. This should take about 3-5 minutes.

3

Chill the Mixture

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.

4

Prepare Sorbet Base (Optional)

If making sorbet, blend fresh fruit in a blender or food processor until smooth. Add lemon juice and blend until combined.

5

Chill Sorbet Mixture

Transfer the blended fruit mixture to a bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

6

Churn Ice Cream

Once chilled, pour the ice cream mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions, usually about 20-25 minutes.

7

Churn Sorbet

For the sorbet, pour the chilled fruit mixture into the ice cream maker and churn for the same duration.

8

Freeze

Transfer the churned ice cream and sorbet into airtight containers and freeze for at least 4 hours to firm up.

9

Serve

Scoop the ice cream or sorbet into bowls or cones and enjoy your refreshing dessert.
