In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; it's okay if there are a few lumps.

Heat the Pan
Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. You can lightly grease it with a small amount of butter or oil if desired.

Cook the Pancakes
Pour about 1/4 cup of pancake batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes or until golden brown.

Stack the pancakes on a plate and serve warm with maple syrup drizzled on top. Add fresh fruit if desired.
