Preparing the Wings

Season the Wings
In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with salt, black pepper, and olive oil. Toss until the wings are evenly coated.

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Making the BBQ Sauce

Combine Ingredients
In a medium saucepan, mix together ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.

Simmer the Sauce
Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer. Allow the sauce to cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.
Baking the Wings

Bake the Wings
Place the seasoned wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are crispy and cooked through.

Remove the wings from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve hot with extra BBQ sauce on the side for dipping.
