Prepare the Fries

Cook the Fries
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Spread the frozen French fries evenly on a baking sheet and bake according to package instructions, usually for about 25-30 minutes or until they are golden and crispy.

Fry the Fries (Alternative)
If you prefer, you can deep-fry the fries. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the frozen fries in batches until they are golden brown and crispy, about 4-6 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
Add the Toppings

Layer the Cheese and Bacon
Once the fries are cooked, remove them from the oven or fryer. Immediately sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the hot fries, followed by the crumbled bacon.

Melt the Cheese
Return the loaded fries to the oven for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Finish with Green Onions
Remove the fries from the oven and sprinkle the chopped green onions on top. Serve immediately with a side of sour cream.
