Burrata Plate Ingredients

Method

Burrata Plate Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tomato Salad

Start by washing the cherry tomatoes thoroughly. Cut each tomato in half and place them in a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Season the Tomatoes

Add salt and black pepper to the halved cherry tomatoes. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and toss gently to combine. Set aside to marinate for about 10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Make the Basil Pesto

In a food processor, combine the fresh basil leaves, pine nuts, garlic clove, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Blend until the mixture is smooth.

  4. 4

    Adjust the Pesto Consistency

If the pesto is too thick, add more olive oil, a tablespoon at a time, until the desired consistency is reached. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Plate

On a serving platter, place the truffle burrata in the center. Arrange the marinated cherry tomatoes around the burrata.

  6. 6

    Drizzle and Serve

Drizzle the prepared basil pesto over the burrata and tomatoes. Finish with a drizzle of balsamic glaze for added flavor.

  7. 7

    Garnish

Optionally, sprinkle some extra pine nuts or basil leaves on top for garnish. Serve immediately at room temperature.
