Patty Melt Ingredients

Method

Patty Melt Directions

  1. 1

    Caramelize the Onions

In a skillet over medium heat, melt a small amount of butter. Add sliced onions and a pinch of salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onions are golden brown and caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Beef Patty

In another skillet, cook the Aspen Ridge beef patty over medium-high heat. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until desired doneness is reached.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Patty Melt

On one slice of sourdough, spread smoky garlic aioli. Layer with the cooked beef patty, caramelized onions, crispy bacon, tomato jam, and Swiss cheese. Top with the second slice of sourdough.

  4. 4

    Grill the Patty Melt

In the same skillet used for the onions, melt butter over medium heat. Place the assembled patty melt in the skillet and grill until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove from skillet, slice in half if desired, and serve hot.
