Method

Prepare the Tea

1

Boil the Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

2

Steep the Tea

Once the water is boiling, add 4 tablespoons of Thai tea leaves. Remove from heat and let it steep for about 5 minutes.

3

Strain the Tea

Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the tea into a large bowl or pitcher to remove the tea leaves.

4

Sweeten the Tea

While the tea is still warm, stir in 1 tablespoon of sugar until dissolved. Let the tea cool to room temperature.

Prepare the Milk Mixture

5

Combine the Milk Ingredients

In a separate bowl, mix together 1 cup of evaporated milk and 2 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk until well combined.

Assemble the Drink

6

Fill the Glass

Take a glass and fill it with ice cubes as desired.

7

Pour the Tea

Pour the cooled Thai tea over the ice until the glass is about 2/3 full.

8

Add the Milk Mixture

Slowly pour the milk mixture over the tea. Adjust the amount to your taste.

9

Garnish

If desired, garnish with fresh mint leaves. Stir gently before serving.
