Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, Sriracha sauce, minced garlic, minced ginger, brown sugar, and black pepper. Stir well to mix all the ingredients thoroughly.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Beef

Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips and add it to the marinade. Ensure all pieces are coated well. Cover the bowl and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for more flavor.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  2. 4

    Stir-fry the Beef

Add the marinated beef to the skillet in a single layer. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Avoid overcrowding the pan; do this in batches if necessary.

  3. 5

    Add the Vegetables

Once the beef is cooked, remove it from the skillet and set it aside. In the same skillet, add the sliced bell peppers and onion. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they are slightly tender but still crisp.

  4. 6

    Combine and Serve

Return the beef to the skillet with the vegetables, toss everything together and stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes to combine the flavors. Remove from heat.

Garnishing

  1. 7

    Garnish the Dish

Transfer the stir-fried beef and vegetables to a serving plate. Sprinkle chopped green onions and sesame seeds on top before serving.
