Method

Prepare Tea

1

Brew the Tea

In a small pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add 2 tablespoons of black tea leaves and let it steep for 5 minutes. After steeping, strain the tea into a cup and stir in 2 tablespoons of sugar until dissolved.

Cook Tapioca Pearls

2

Prepare Tapioca Pearls

In a separate pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, add 1 cup of tapioca pearls. Cook according to package instructions, usually around 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once cooked, drain and rinse with cold water to prevent sticking.

Combine Ingredients

3

Mix Everything Together

In a large glass or shaker, combine the brewed tea, 1 cup of milk (or non-dairy alternative), and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Stir well to mix all the flavors.

Serve

4

Assemble the Bubble Tea

Add a generous portion of the cooked tapioca pearls to the bottom of a glass. Pour the tea mixture over the pearls. Add ice if desired, and top with your choice of fruit.
