Preparation
Slice the Beef
Thinly slice the beef sirloin against the grain into bite-sized pieces.
Prepare the Vegetables
Wash the broccoli florets and chop them into smaller pieces if necessary. Mince the garlic cloves and grate the ginger.
Sauce Mix
Combine Sauce Ingredients
In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, beef broth, cornstarch, brown sugar, sesame oil, and black pepper until well combined.
Cooking
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
Stir-Fry the Beef
Add the sliced beef to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned and just cooked through. Remove the beef and set aside.
Combine Everything
Return the beef to the skillet with the broccoli. Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and broccoli, stirring to coat everything evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce is thickened and bubbly.
