Method

Preparation

1

Slice the Beef

Thinly slice the beef sirloin against the grain into bite-sized pieces.

2

Prepare the Vegetables

Wash the broccoli florets and chop them into smaller pieces if necessary. Mince the garlic cloves and grate the ginger.

Sauce Mix

3

Combine Sauce Ingredients

In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, beef broth, cornstarch, brown sugar, sesame oil, and black pepper until well combined.

Cooking

4

Heat the Oil

In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

5

Stir-Fry the Beef

Add the sliced beef to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned and just cooked through. Remove the beef and set aside.

6

Cook the Broccoli

In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and grated ginger. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant, then add the broccoli florets. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the broccoli is bright green and slightly tender.

7

Combine Everything

Return the beef to the skillet with the broccoli. Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and broccoli, stirring to coat everything evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce is thickened and bubbly.

Serving

8

Serve Hot

Serve the beef and broccoli over steamed rice or noodles, if desired. Enjoy your meal!
