Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Slice the chicken breast into thin strips and place them into a bowl.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Chicken

In the bowl with chicken strips, add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

  3. 3

    Chop the Vegetables

While the chicken is marinating, slice the onion and bell pepper into thin strips. Mince the garlic and chop the green onions into small pieces.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Heat the Pan

In a large frying pan or wok, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat.

  2. 5

    Cook the Chicken

Add the marinated chicken strips to the hot pan. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.

  3. 6

    Stir-Fry the Vegetables

In the same pan, add a little more oil if necessary, and then add the sliced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic. Stir-fry for 3-5 minutes, until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

  4. 7

    Combine and Finish

Return the cooked chicken to the pan with the vegetables. Add water and adjust the seasoning with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

  5. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat, sprinkle with chopped green onions, and serve hot with rice or noodles.
