Ingredients for Southern Omelet

Method

Instructions for Southern Omelet

  1. 1

    Prepare the Breakfast Potatoes

In a skillet, cook the diced breakfast potatoes over medium heat until golden brown and tender, about 10-12 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Sausage and Bacon

In the same skillet, add the chopped Conecuh sausage and crispy bacon. Cook until the sausage is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat.

  3. 3

    Whisk the Eggs

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  4. 4

    Cook the Omelet

In a clean non-stick skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture, tilting the pan to ensure even coverage. Cook until the edges begin to set, about 2-3 minutes.

  5. 5

    Add Fillings

Once the omelet is partially set, add the cooked sausage, bacon, breakfast potatoes, and shredded cheddar cheese to one half of the omelet.

  6. 6

    Fold and Serve

Carefully fold the omelet over the fillings. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts. Serve immediately with mixed greens and toast on the side.
