Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Dough

In a large bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy. Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and salt. Mix well. Gradually add flour until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Filling

In a medium bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Melt the butter and set aside.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Rolls

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll out on a floured surface into a rectangle (about 16x24 inches). Brush with melted butter, then sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the surface. Roll tightly into a log and cut into 12 equal pieces.

  4. 4

    Final Rise

Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.

  5. 5

    Bake

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.

  6. 6

    Make the Icing

While the rolls cool, beat together cream cheese, butter, vanilla, and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.

  7. 7

    Frost the Rolls

Spread the cream cheese icing generously over the warm cinnamon rolls. Serve and enjoy!
