Method

Burger Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burger Patties

In a mixing bowl, divide the ground beef into two equal portions (each about 1/2 pound). Shape each portion into a patty that is slightly larger than the burger buns, as they will shrink while cooking. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the smoked bacon strips until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.

  3. 3

    Grill the Patties

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the burger patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties, brush each with BBQ sauce, and place a slice of pepper jack cheese on top. Continue grilling for another 4-5 minutes until the cheese is melted and the burger is cooked to your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the grilled patty with melted cheese, crispy bacon, fried onion strings, and a slice of tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.

French Fries Directions

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and cut the potatoes into thin strips to make fries. Rinse the strips in cold water to remove excess starch and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 6

    Heat the Oil

In a deep fryer or a heavy pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches, avoiding overcrowding. Fry for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove the fries with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  4. 8

    Season the Fries

While the fries are still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste and toss to coat evenly.
