Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 2

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add fresh spinach and broccoli florets, and cook for about 5-7 minutes until spinach is wilted and broccoli is tender. Season with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Ricotta Mixture

In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, and half of the Romano cheese. Mix well and set aside.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Roll Out the Dough

On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle, about 12x16 inches.

  2. 5

    Layer the Ingredients

Spread the ricotta mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough. Add the sautéed spinach and broccoli mixture on top. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Romano cheese evenly over the vegetables.

  3. 6

    Roll the Stromboli

Starting from one edge, carefully roll the dough tightly into a log shape. Pinch the ends to seal and place the stromboli seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Baking

  1. 7

    Bake the Stromboli

Brush the top of the stromboli with olive oil and cut a few slits on top to allow steam to escape. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

  2. 8

    Cool and Slice

Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes before slicing into pieces. Serve warm.
