Shrimp Patty Preparation

Prepare the Shrimp
In a food processor, pulse the shrimp until coarsely chopped but not pureed.

Mix Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, red bell pepper, onion, parsley, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Form Patties
Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.

Chill Patties
Place the patties on a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
Cucumber Slaw Preparation

Mix Slaw Ingredients
In a medium bowl, mix the julienned cucumber, shredded carrot, rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Toss to coat and set aside for flavors to meld.
New Orleans Sauce Preparation

Combine Sauce Ingredients
In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, hot sauce, lemon juice, garlic powder, and paprika until smooth. Set aside.
Cooking and Assembly

Cook the Patties
In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, add a little oil and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Assemble the Burger
On each toasted brioche bun, place a lettuce leaf, a shrimp patty, a slice of tomato, a generous helping of cucumber slaw, and drizzle with New Orleans sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.
