Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

  3. 3

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and then add in the milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Mix until smooth.

  4. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are fine.

Baking

  1. 5

    Pour into Pan

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.

  2. 6

    Add Cinnamon

Sprinkle ground cinnamon evenly over the batter for added flavor.

  3. 7

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Serving

  1. 8

    Cool and Serve

Allow the Monga Zin to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar, top with chopped nuts and fresh berries, and cut into squares to serve.
