Main Ingredient

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Salmon

Place the salmon fillet in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring it is well coated. Cover the dish or seal the bag and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Grilling

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 450°F). Make sure the grill grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Grill the Salmon

Remove the salmon from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Place the salmon skin-side down on the grill. Grill for about 5-6 minutes, then carefully flip the salmon using a spatula and grill for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  3. 5

    Serve

Once cooked, remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Serve immediately as is, or with a wedge of lemon on the side.
