Method

Cooking Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil Water

Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil over high heat.

  2. 2

    Cook Fettuccini

Add the fettuccini pasta to the boiling water. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Drain Pasta

Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and set aside.

Making Alfredo Sauce

  1. 4

    Melt Butter

In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat.

  2. 5

    Add Garlic

Add minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

  3. 6

    Pour in Heavy Cream

Slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring continuously. Bring to a gentle simmer.

  4. 7

    Add Cheese and Seasonings

Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Combining

  1. 8

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the cooked fettuccini to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss well to coat the pasta evenly in the sauce.

  2. 9

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve immediately.
