Chicken Preparation

Method

Chicken Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Bread the Chicken

Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, another with beaten eggs, and the last with breadcrumbs. Dip each chicken breast first in the flour, shaking off excess, then into the egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. Ensure each piece is well-coated.

  3. 3

    Cook the Chicken

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and let cool slightly before slicing.

Stromboli Assembly

  1. 4

    Prepare the Dough

Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangular shape, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 5

    Add the Sauce and Cheese

Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Layer the sliced chicken on top of the sauce, followed by mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, oregano, and fresh basil.

  3. 6

    Roll the Stromboli

Starting from one long side, carefully roll the dough over the filling to form a log. Pinch the seams to seal and tuck the ends under to prevent the filling from leaking out.

  4. 7

    Bake the Stromboli

Transfer the rolled Stromboli onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and the dough is cooked through.

  5. 8

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm with additional pizza sauce on the side for dipping.
