Method

For the Turkey Burgers

  1. 1

    Prepare the Turkey Mixture

In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, minced garlic (2 cloves), salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the turkey mixture into 4 equal portions and form each portion into a patty, about ¾-inch thick.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

  4. 4

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of provolone cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Toppings

While the patties are cooking, slice the roasted red peppers and avocado. Chop the sun-dried tomatoes if they are not already chopped.

For the Garlic Aioli

  1. 6

    Make the Aioli

In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, minced garlic (1 clove), lemon juice, and salt. Stir until well combined.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 7

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of a burger bun, place the turkey patty with melted provolone. Top with sliced roasted red peppers, avocado slices, and sun-dried tomatoes. Spread a generous amount of garlic aioli on the top half of the bun.

  2. 8

    Serve

Cover the burger with the top half of the bun and serve immediately with your choice of sides.
