Method
Preparing the Burger Patty
- 1
Forming the Patties
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until combined. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form each portion into a patty about 3/4-inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.
- 2
Preparing the Toppings
- 3
Lettuce and Tomato
Wash the lettuce leaves thoroughly and pat them dry with a paper towel. Slice the tomato into medium-thick slices.
- 4
Pickles and Onion
Slice the pickles into rounds and the red onion into thin slices.
Toasting the Buns
- 5
Toasting
While the patties are cooking, slice the brioche buns in half. On the grill or in a toaster, lightly toast the cut sides of the buns until golden brown.
Assembling the Burger
- 6
Assembly
Place one cooked burger patty on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Top with lettuce, a slice of tomato, pickles, and red onion. Add the top half of the bun to complete the burger.
