Cocktail

Method

Cocktail

  1. 1

    Prepare glass

Fill a highball or Collins glass with 4–5 ice cubes to chill.

  2. 2

Measure and add 15 ml cherry liqueur into the chilled glass over the ice.

  3. 3

Add 15 ml fresh lime juice and 7.5 ml simple syrup to the glass for balance.

  4. 4

If using, add 2 dashes of black cherry bitters and/or 5 ml cherry syrup to deepen the cherry flavor.

  5. 5

Slowly open a 12 oz can of White Claw Black Cherry and gently pour it into the glass down the side to preserve carbonation. Pour until the glass is nearly full, leaving a small head (about 1–2 cm).

  6. 6

Give the cocktail one or two gentle stirs with a bar spoon to integrate the liqueur and citrus without flattening the seltzer.

  7. 7

Garnish with one fresh black cherry or a maraschino cherry on a pick. Optionally, squeeze a lime wedge over the top before dropping it in.

Serving & Notes

  1. 8

Serve immediately while fizzy. This is a light, refreshing gluten-free highball-style cocktail with an amplified black cherry profile.

  2. 9

Adjust sweetness by increasing or decreasing simple syrup (7.5 ml increments). For a nonalcoholic version, replace the White Claw with a gluten-free black cherry sparkling water and substitute cherry liqueur with 15 ml cherry syrup.
