1. Stir
Add 2 oz Koval Single Barrel Bourbon, 1 oz sweet vermouth, 0.25 oz Benedictine, and 2 dashes Angostura bitters to a mixing glass or large chilled glass.
2. Fill the mixing glass with plenty of ice (enough to chill and dilute slightly). Stir gently with a bar spoon for 20–30 seconds, until the mixture is well chilled and slightly diluted (about 20–25 full spoon turns).
3. Place one large ice cube (or fresh ice) into a chilled Old Fashioned glass.
4. Strain the stirred cocktail over the large ice cube into the Old Fashioned glass using a hawthorne or julep strainer.
5. Garnish & finish
Express the oils of an orange twist over the surface of the drink by holding the twist skin-side down above the glass and giving it a quick squeeze. Rub the twist around the rim of the glass if desired, then drop it into the cocktail as garnish.
