Prepare the glass
Rub the lime wedge around the rim of a rocks or coupe glass. Pour the coarse salt onto a small plate and dip the damp rim into the salt, twisting to coat evenly. Set the glass aside.

Mix the cocktail
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice (about 3/4 full). Add 2 oz reposado tequila, 1 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz agave syrup, and 0.5 oz Grand Marnier. Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds, until the shaker is chilled and the exterior is frosty.

Garnish
Express the oils of the remaining lime wedge over the drink and drop it in (or place on the rim). Optionally float a thin twist of lime peel on top.
