Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a large bowl, combine the brown sugar, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, black pepper, and chili flakes. Mix well until the sugar is dissolved.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Ribs

Place the Wagyu beef ribs in a large, resealable plastic bag or a baking dish. Pour the marinade over the ribs, ensuring they are well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F). Line a roasting pan with aluminum foil for easier cleanup.

  4. 4

    Bake the Ribs

Remove the ribs from the marinade and place them in the prepared roasting pan. Reserve the marinade for later. Cover the ribs with foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 3 hours or until tender.

  5. 5

    Create the Sticky Glaze

While the ribs are baking, pour the reserved marinade into a saucepan and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until it thickens slightly.

  6. 6

    Glaze and Broil the Ribs

Once the ribs are tender, remove them from the oven and discard the foil. Brush the thickened glaze generously over the ribs. Switch the oven to broil and return the ribs to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.

  7. 7

    Serve

Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Cut into individual pieces, garnish with chopped green onions, and serve hot.
