Sauté the Vegetables
In a large pot, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Add Potatoes and Broth
Stir in the diced potatoes and green chile. Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes.

Incorporate Corn and Seasonings
Add the fresh corn kernels, salt, black pepper, and thyme. Continue to simmer for another 5 minutes.

Finish with Cream and Bone Marrow
Stir in the heavy cream and smoked bone marrow. Allow to heat through for about 5 minutes. Adjust seasoning to taste.
