Onion Agrodolce

Method

Preparation of Onion Agrodolce

  1. 1

    Make the Onion Agrodolce

In a medium skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced red onions and sauté until they begin to soften, about 5 minutes. Add sugar, red wine vinegar, and salt. Stir well and cook until the onions are caramelized, about 10-15 minutes. Set aside.

Preparation of Garlic Aioli

  1. 2

    Prepare the Garlic Aioli

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well until smooth. Set aside in the refrigerator.

Cooking Potatoes

  1. 3

    Bake the Crispy Potatoes

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss the potato wedges with olive oil, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl. Spread them in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.

Cooking the Patties

  1. 4

    Grill the Angus Beef Patties

While the potatoes are baking, preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Season the Angus beef patties with salt and pepper. Grill the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, adding the mozzarella slices on top of the patties for the last minute of cooking to melt.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Assemble the Q Burger

Toast the wood-fired burger buns lightly. Start with the bottom bun, add a layer of baby arugula, place the grilled beef patty with melted mozzarella on top, add a generous amount of onion agrodolce, and finish with a dollop of garlic aioli. Top off with the upper half of the bun.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve

Serve the Q Burger alongside the crispy potatoes for a delicious meal.
