Cocktail Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Glass
Start by selecting a lowball or rocks glass. You can chill the glass in the freezer for a few minutes if you prefer a very cold drink.
- 2
Combine Ingredients
In a mixing glass, combine equal parts of gin, sweet vermouth, and Campari (1 cup each).
- 3
Add Ice
Fill the mixing glass with ice cubes (about 1 cup) to chill the mixture thoroughly.
- 4
Stir the Cocktail
Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture gently for about 20-30 seconds until well chilled.
- 5
Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into the chilled lowball glass filled with fresh ice or serve neat (without ice) if preferred.
- 6
Garnish
Twist a strip of orange peel over the drink to release its oils, then drop it in as a garnish.
- 7
Enjoy
Your classic Negroni is now ready to be enjoyed! Sip slowly and savor the flavors.
