Prepare the Glass
Begin by chilling a rocks glass. You can do this by filling it with ice water and letting it sit while you prepare the cocktail.

Mix the Ingredients
In a mixing glass, add 1 oz of gin, 1 oz of Campari, and 1 oz of sweet vermouth.

Add Ice
Fill the mixing glass with ice cubes to the top.

Stir the Mixture
Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds until well chilled.

Strain and Serve
Discard the ice water from the chilled rocks glass. Using a strainer, pour the mixed cocktail into the glass over fresh ice if desired.

Garnish
Take an orange peel and twist it over the drink to release its oils, then drop it into the glass as a garnish.
