Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all the ingredients and ensure the Dover sole fillets are cleaned and patted dry. Chop the fresh parsley and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make Brown Butter

In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Continue cooking, stirring frequently, until the butter turns a golden brown color and has a nutty aroma, about 5-7 minutes. Be careful not to burn it.

  3. 3

    Cook the Dover Sole

Once the butter is browned, gently place the Dover sole fillets in the skillet. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  4. 4

    Add Capers and Lemon

During the last minute of cooking, add the capers and lemon juice to the skillet. Spoon the brown butter over the fillets to infuse the flavors.

  5. 5

    Garnish and Serve

Once cooked, remove the fillets from the skillet and place them on serving plates. Drizzle any remaining brown butter and caper mixture over the top. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
