Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Figs
Rinse the figs under cold water and gently pat them dry with a paper towel. Cut the figs in half lengthwise.
- 2
Caramelize the Figs
In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the brown sugar and stir until it dissolves. Add the figs cut side down and cook for about 3-4 minutes until they are caramelized and golden brown. Flip the figs and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- 3
Add Flavor
Drizzle the balsamic vinegar and honey over the figs, and sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper. Cook for an additional minute, allowing the flavors to combine.
- 4
Assemble the Dish
On a serving platter, arrange the caramelized figs. Top with shaved prosciutto, sliced almonds, and crumbled goat cheese.
- 5
Serve
Serve warm as an appetizer or a light salad.
