Method
Preparation Directions
- 1
Prepare Parmesan Crisps
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place small mounds of grated Parmesan cheese (about 1 tablespoon each) on the parchment, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 5-7 minutes, until golden and crisp. Let them cool on the baking sheet before removing them.
- 2
Combine Pear and Mostarda
In a bowl, mix the diced Bosc pear with the mostarda. Set aside to allow the flavors to meld.
- 3
- 4
Prepare the Sage
In the same skillet, add the fresh sage leaves and fry them for about 1-2 minutes until they are crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 5
Assemble the Dish
On a serving platter, place the burrata cheese in the center. Spoon the pear and mostarda mixture over the burrata. Scatter the toasted pecans and crispy sage leaves around the dish. Drizzle with aged balsamic vinegar and additional olive oil if desired. Finally, serve with Parmesan crisps on the side.
