Sanitize bottle and cap
Rinse the empty PET bottle and cap with warm water to remove visible debris. Pour approximately 100 ml of the ready‑to‑use food‑safe sanitizer into the bottle and swish so the sanitizer contacts all interior surfaces; fully submerge the cap in sanitizer. Let sit for 60 seconds (follow sanitizer manufacturer directions). Drain fully and invert the bottle and cap to air dry briefly on a clean surface or hold to allow excess sanitizer to drip out—do not rinse again if the sanitizer is no‑rinse type. Ensure hands are clean or wear single‑use gloves when handling sanitized items.

Fill with filtered water
Using filtered drinking water at service temperature, fill the sanitized bottle. Leave about 1–1.5 cm (roughly 10–20 ml headspace) at the top to allow for expansion and to avoid spillage. If available, use a clean funnel to reduce splashing and contamination. Wipe the bottle neck and rim with a clean, lint‑free cloth or single‑use paper towel before capping.

Seal the bottle
Secure the screw cap onto the bottle immediately after filling. Tighten until snug — do not overtighten to avoid thread damage. After capping, invert the bottle and gently squeeze to check for leaks; set the bottle upright. If you detect leaks or cap misalignment, replace the cap and recheck.

Label and chill
Affix the label/sticker showing product name and bottling date/time to the bottle where it is clearly visible. To chill for immediate service, place the capped bottles in an ice bucket or cooler and surround with the ice cubes (use about 6 pieces or enough to bring the bottle temperature down quickly). Chill 10–20 minutes for refreshment; for longer holding, store refrigerated at ≤5°C (41°F).

Serve and discard guidance
Serve chilled bottled water directly to the customer, handing the sealed bottle across the counter. If you prepared bottles on the truck, consume within 24 hours if kept refrigerated, or within the same service day if held at ambient temperature; discard any bottles that show contamination, off‑smell, or compromised seals. Always follow local food safety and potable water regulations.
