Prepare the Beef
Season the chuck roast with salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes on all sides.

Slow Cook the Beef
Place the seasoned chuck roast in a slow cooker and pour the beef broth over it. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender and shreds easily.

Shred the Beef
Once cooked, remove the beef from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks. Return the shredded beef to the slow cooker and mix it with the juices.

Prepare the Rolls
While the beef is cooking, slice the Italian rolls in half lengthwise.

Assemble the Sandwiches
Place a generous portion of the shredded beef onto the bottom half of each Italian roll. Top with a slice of provolone cheese and giardiniera, if desired.
