Carefully shuck the Rappahannock oysters using an oyster knife. Hold the oyster with a towel to prevent slipping and insert the knife at the hinge. Twist to open and slide the knife under the meat to detach it from the shell.

Shucking the Oysters

Arrange the shucked oysters on a serving platter. Garnish with lemon wedges and a sprinkle of fresh parsley.

Serving

Serve with cocktail sauce and hot sauce on the side for dipping.
