- 1
Prepare bacon
Cook 6 strips of bacon until crisp. You can pan-fry over medium heat (about 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally) or bake on a rimmed sheet at 400°F (200°C) for 15–18 minutes. Transfer cooked bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain and cool; once cool, cut each strip in half if desired for easier layering.

Prepare produce
Wash and dry 6 romaine lettuce leaves. Slice 1 large tomato into 6 even slices (about 1/4-inch thick). Season tomato slices lightly with 1/2 tsp kosher salt and 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper; set aside.
- 4
Assemble sandwiches
Spread 1 teaspoon of mayonnaise onto one side of 4 of the toasted bread slices, and 1 teaspoon onto one side of the remaining 2 slices (total 6 tsp). On 3 of the bread slices (mayonnaise side up), layer the components in this order: 4 oz (about half) shaved turkey breast, 2 pieces of cooked bacon (halves or full strips as preferred), 2 romaine leaves folded to fit, and 3 tomato slices. Top each with a second slice of toasted bread mayonnaise side down to make 3 sandwiches. Repeat with remaining turkey, bacon and produce to create the remaining 3 sandwiches (or make 3 club-style double-decker sandwiches by adding an extra slice of bread in the middle if you prefer a traditional triple-decker club — see notes).
- 5
Finish and serve
If desired, secure each sandwich with a toothpick and cut diagonally in half. Serve immediately while toast is crisp. Provide extra mayonnaise or pickles on the side if desired.

Notes (optional variation)
To make a traditional turkey club (double-decker): use 9 slices of toasted bread per sandwich — assemble first layer (bread + mayo + turkey + bacon), add a middle slice (mayo side down/up as preferred) then repeat layers of turkey, bacon, lettuce and tomato, finishing with the top slice. Adjust ingredient quantities accordingly.
