Method

Cocktail

  1. 1

    Chill glass

Fill your serving glass (a coupe or a rocks glass) with ice and cold water while you build the cocktail to chill it. Let sit 1–2 minutes.

  2. 2

    Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz citrus vodka, 1 oz peach schnapps, 0.5 oz orange liqueur, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, 2 oz white cranberry juice, and 0.25 oz simple syrup (if using).

  3. 3

    Add ice and shake

Add a generous handful of ice to the shaker (about 4–6 large cubes). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds, until the shaker is cold to the touch and well diluted.

  4. 4

    Prepare serving glass

Dump the ice and water from the chilled serving glass and strain the cocktail into the glass. Use a fine or julep strainer for a clean pour.

  5. 5

    Serve over ice (optional)

If you prefer the drink on the rocks, fill the serving glass with fresh ice and pour the shaken cocktail over the ice instead of serving neat.

Garnish

  1. 6

Garnish the drink with a lime wheel or a lime twist on the rim and an optional thin peach slice floated on top. Express a lime peel over the surface before dropping it in to add aroma.
