Method
Prepare Glass
- 1
Chill glass
If possible, chill the white wine glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes before assembling. This keeps the spritz cold without diluting it quickly.
- 2
Add 4 large ice cubes to the chilled white wine glass, filling it about two-thirds full. Using large cubes reduces dilution.
Build Drink
- 3
Pour 2 oz chilled limoncello over the ice.
- 4
Add 3 oz well-chilled Prosecco slowly down the side of the glass to preserve bubbles.
- 5
Top with 1 oz chilled club soda to add a light, refreshing effervescence. If you prefer a slightly sweeter drink, add 1/4 tsp simple syrup now and stir gently to combine.
- 6
Stir gently
Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture gently 3–4 times to integrate the limoncello with the Prosecco and soda without flattening the bubbles.
Garnish & Finish
- 7
- 8
Run the peel around the rim of the glass, then drop it into the drink or perch it on the rim as an elegant garnish.
- 9
Serve immediately while cold and effervescent.
