Method
Preparing the Protein
- 1
Cook the Ground Beef
In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add 1 pound of ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- 2
Season the Beef
Once the beef is browned, drain excess fat if necessary. Stir in 2 tablespoons of taco seasoning and 1/4 cup of water. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the seasoning is well blended and the mixture is heated through.
Preparing the Taco Shells
- 3
Warm the Tortillas
In a separate skillet, heat the corn tortillas over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side, or until they are warm and pliable.
Assembling the Tacos
- 4
Build Your Taco
Take a warm tortilla and spoon in a portion of the seasoned ground beef. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, sliced jalapeños, and chopped cilantro.
- 5
Serve with Lime
Garnish with lime wedges on the side for an added zesty flavor. Serve immediately and enjoy your tacos!
