Prepare the Cucumber
Slice the cucumber into thin rounds or half-moons, depending on your preference. Set aside for garnish.

Muddle the Mint
In a cocktail shaker, add the fresh mint leaves. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently press down on the mint leaves to release their oils, being careful not to shred them too much.
Mixing the Drink

Combine Ingredients
To the muddled mint in the shaker, add the tequila, lime juice, and salt. Fill the shaker with ice cubes.

Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds to mix and chill the ingredients.
Serving

Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into a tall glass filled with ice cubes. Top with tonic water and stir gently to combine.
