Prepare the Glass
Rim a glass with lime juice and dip it into salt to coat the rim. Set aside.

Mix the Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, fresh lime juice, triple sec, and simple syrup.

Fill the shaker with ice, cover it, and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled.

Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice, if desired.
