Cheese Preparation

Breading Mixture

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare Cheese Sticks

Unwrap the string cheese sticks and set them aside on a plate.

Breading Process

  1. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate shallow bowls, place the all-purpose flour in the first bowl, beaten eggs in the second bowl, and a mixture of breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in the third bowl.

  2. 3

    Bread Cheese Sticks

Dredge each cheese stick in the flour, shaking off any excess. Next, dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess egg to drip off. Finally, coat the cheese stick in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to ensure the coating sticks. Repeat with all cheese sticks.

Frying

  1. 4

    Heat Oil

In a large, deep skillet or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can test the oil readiness by dropping a small piece of bread into it; if it bubbles and browns, the oil is ready.

  2. 5

    Fry Cheese Sticks

Carefully add the breaded cheese sticks to the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry them for about 2-3 minutes, turning occasionally until they are golden brown and crispy.

  3. 6

    Drain and Serve

Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried cheese sticks from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot with marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
