Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Apples

Wash and core the apples, then chop them into small pieces.

  2. 2

    Simmer the Mixture

In a large pot, combine the chopped apples and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for about 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Strain the Mixture

After simmering, use a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to strain the liquid into a clean container, discarding the apple solids.

  4. 4

    Add Sugar and Cinnamon

Stir in the sugar and add the cinnamon stick to the strained liquid. Allow it to cool to room temperature.

  5. 5

    Add Yeast

Once cooled, sprinkle the yeast over the liquid and gently stir to combine.

  6. 6

    Ferment

Cover the container with a clean cloth and let it ferment in a cool, dark place for about 1-2 weeks, or until fermentation slows down.

  7. 7

    Bottle the Cider

After fermentation, carefully siphon the cider into clean bottles, leaving some space at the top. Seal with caps.

  8. 8

    Chill and Serve

Refrigerate the bottles for at least 24 hours before serving. Enjoy your dry cider chilled!
