Bottled Water

Method

Bottled Water

  1. 1

Chill bottle (if not already cold)

If your bottled water is not already cold, place the sealed bottle in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or in an ice bath for 10–15 minutes until chilled to your preference.

  2. 2

    Prepare glass (optional)

If you prefer to drink from a glass, take a clean glass and, if using, add 4 ice cubes. Otherwise skip this step and drink directly from the bottle.

  3. 3

    Open bottle

Twist off or remove the cap from the chilled bottle. Hold the bottle upright to avoid spills.

  4. 4

    Add garnish (optional)

If desired, drop the lemon slice into the glass or bottle and add the mint sprig. Gently stir once with a spoon if using a glass to release a hint of flavor; do not over-stir a sealed bottle.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve immediately while cold. If you used a glass, hold the glass by the stem or base to avoid warming the water with your hands. Reseal the bottle with its cap if saving for later.

  6. 6

    Storage

If you have leftover water in the bottle, tighten the cap and store in the refrigerator. Consume within 24–48 hours for best taste when refrigerated; discard if left at room temperature for extended periods.
